COMPUTER MOUSE
Surface
Issues
- One of the few real issues with
current optical mice is how they behave on certain surfaces. Unlike
roller-ball mice, which were workable on practically any surface, as long
as we didn't mind cleaning them every week, optical mice won't work on
glossy or highly reflective surfaces. This means we will probably need a
mouse pad if our desk is very shiny or made of glass because surface
reflections interfere with the mouse's optics and make it unusable. This
bother me so much, especially when small desk is used, the shiny plastic surface make the cursor
run away sometime.
Speed
- Optical mice are faster than
all previous mice models. However, for me this is a disadvantage because
the increase speed makes it harder to control. Of course, we can control
the sensitivity and speed of our mouse from within your operating system,
but only if we know how. Some other laptop which uses ubuntu as operating
system, I am totally out of their customization. It is not friendly user.
Energy Use
- Although the energy use of a
mouse is minimal when compared to other hardware components, such as a
printer or a monitor, optical mice consume more energy than the older roller-ball
models. This is because optical mice are made entirely of static,
electronic components which must be constantly switched on to work. Especially
wireless mouse. In contrast, roller-ball mice used rubber balls to
activate the sensor and required lower energy expenditure. This is one of
the reasons that the laptop cannot stay longer to perform the jobs.
Space
- Optical mice solved many of the problems roller-ball mice had, but still require a relatively large desk-area to work. If we are using a laptop on an airplane, or while sitting on a deckchair, an optical mouse isn't practical. Most laptops come with a pointer mouse or a small joystick, so we can operate them without the need of a desk or other type of surface. But it required high patient to move the cursor.

CABLE MESS
Problem : What we can
see below is the situation that always happen in our small home office
especially for person that working the computer. There are so many wires and
cables and they become so messy behind of the gadgets!!
Solution :
So the solution that I
can use here is by using a “Cable Box” which created a special space for the
unwanted length of the cable hide. The
design is as below.
This “Cable Box” has
only two holes at each left and right side. One side as the input hole for the
main power supply and the other side are as the output hole, which can be used
for our charger cable, pc cable or other gadgets cables. From this product we
can save the unwanted wires and cables inside the box without make our space
full of mess.

SCANNER
The scanner is the product that bothering me since 2 years
ago. Having experience work as a cashier in one of the cybercafé, make this
thing hunted me when the customer asking about the price of the scanning
service, as the person that working there,
I being told to follow the
service price stated. Some customers are trying to argue about the service
price hence the scanning price is a bit higher than printing. Some of the
customer does not want to pay for the services that they have already used.
Even though the prices of the service a bit similar throughout Malaysia. Is it because of the technology making this
service price become that high? Or because of demand of using this service less
making the service price goes up?. So as
an engineer wannabe, this problem should be solved by any means creating,
upgrading or developing.
